Nidec Conversion announces the adoption of its Sustainable Procurement Policy, a framework designed to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into procurement processes and supplier engagement across its global value chain. The Policy supports responsible sourcing practices, supply chain resilience and transparency, while strengthening alignment with evolving sustainability and regulatory requirements.
The Policy defines clear and binding requirements for all suppliers, covering adherence to international ESG standards, the implementation of robust due diligence processes, and the provision of reliable, auditable sustainability data to support Nidec Conversion’s reporting, compliance and customer disclosure obligations under evolving European frameworks, including CSRD/ESRS and supply chain due diligence requirements according to CSDDD.
By systematically integrating ESG criteria into supplier qualification, procurement decisions and ongoing supplier monitoring, Nidec Conversion further strengthens control over product compliance, critical raw materials sourcing and supply chain resilience, while advancing decarbonisation efforts and the responsible use of resources across its operations.
