Brooklyn Heights, OH, 21th June 2019 – Nidec Industrial Solutions, the industrial platform of Nidec Group, celebrated the ground-breaking of its new US headquarters and manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. This investment of more than 10-million-dollars will comprise 67,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space located on the corner of Granger Road and Tuxedo Avenue in Brooklyn Heights. The facility will be a three-tier building and is expected to be completed by January 2020.
The brand-new state-of-the-art facility will feature a purpose-built area for the assembly and testing of large industrial controls & automation systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems and Medium Voltage Drives as well as a cutting-edge production area for Nidec’s industry-leading AVTRON encoders.

We also hope to act as a catalyst for development in the area as well as to be an integral part of the community” Tom Aloor, Executive VP of Nidec Industrial Solutions – Americas said. He added – “We strongly believe in the potential of this significant investment and I am confident it will allow us to serve our customers even better than before.”

We’re very proud that you chose to build your plant here and that we will be part of the world market now. Your corporation is worldwide. Welcome gentlemen from overseas who came to Brooklyn Heights Village for this ceremony.”
